1. General

  1. When entering (the grounds of) Kasteel Steenenburg or Hotel Steenenburg (hereinafter "Kasteel Steenenburg") or using facilities and services operated by Kasteel Steenenburg, the house rules in these regulations are accepted.

  2. Kasteel Steenenburg accepts no liability for personal injury and/or theft, loss, missing or damage to property of any kind arising during and/or as a result of a stay on the premises and/or the rental/use of the accommodation and/or other facilities. Access or use of the facilities, including the parking lot, of Kasteel Steenenburg is at your own risk.

  3. It is mandatory to strictly follow all regulations in these rules and the instructions given by the staff of Kasteel Steenenburg.

  4. Upon request, identification may be requested from anyone on the grounds of Kasteel Steenenburg.

  5. It is forbidden on the premises:

    a. have on hand weapons or other objects which, in the judgment of the management of Kasteel Steenenburg, are dangerous.

    b. use narcotics both soft and hard drugs, have them with you or trade them. Violation will result in immediate and permanent disqualification from the premises.

    c. Possessing or setting off fireworks.

    Kasteel Steenenburg reserves the right to confiscate these items and involve the police.

  6. It is not allowed to cause nuisance to (other) visitors, staying guests, staff or residents of Kasteel Steenenburg.

  7. Kasteel Steenenburg is entitled to deny access to the premises to visitors, guests or dogs whom it finds or fears may disturb the order, peace and/or safety on the premises or who do not comply with these regulations, without being liable for any compensation.

  8. For all cases not covered by these regulations, the management of Kasteel Steenenburg or its delegate decides.

2. Hotel access

  1. Everyone must first check in at the reception upon arrival. This applies even if the license plate of your vehicle is already registered. It is not permitted to be present in the hotel area or any of the facilities belonging to it, such as the gym, without a current reservation or without registering at the reception desk.

  2. Valid identification must be shown at check-in.

  3. A booking or ongoing reservation is personal and not transferable to another person. Persons are not allowed to stay overnight in the lodging accommodation outside the presence of the main booker.

  4. All overnight guests must be registered through the front desk.

  5. Should you wish to host a lodging guest during your stay, you must register this lodging guest at the reception desk. Any additional costs, including tourist tax, breakfast, etc., must be paid immediately and in full upon registration.

3. Hotel stay and facilities

  1. No more persons are allowed in the lodging facility than the lodging facility allows according to the website and notified at the reception desk.

  2. With the exception of (a maximum of 2) dogs (for only some lodging accommodations), pets are not allowed in the lodging accommodation. A non-refundable fee ("pet-fee") per dog per night will be charged for your dog(s) staying in the accommodation. The stay of dogs must be stated directly when making the reservation.

  3. Only assistance dogs are allowed in the gym or other hotel facilities.

  4. You are not allowed to wash your dog in the bathtub or shower of the accommodation.

  5. Do not leave dog(s) alone in the lodging facility.

  6. The lodging facility is required to be made available for cleaning and/or maintenance services.

  7. Smoking, including smoking e-cigarettes and vapes, is strictly prohibited. Nor is having open flames (such as candles) or burning incense smoke allowed.

  8. It is not allowed to store or charge devices or loose batteries (powerbanks) exceeding 100 Wh in your accommodation. Bicycle batteries can be charged and safely stored in the designated area in the bicycle parking area.

  9. Confetti and other decorations for (in) the accommodation are not allowed. Please inform at the reception which decorations are allowed.

  10. Use of the safe in the lodging accommodation is entirely at your own risk.

  11. Use of the gym and other facilities is entirely at your own risk. There is no (physical) supervision.

  12. Kasteel Steenenburg reserves the right to perform necessary maintenance to the accommodation and/or other facilities during the stay or to close facilities (temporarily) during the stay without being obliged to any compensation.

  13. Guests, in addition to main booker, are always jointly and severally liable for damage due to breakage and/or loss and/or damage to inventory and/or to accommodation or other facilities.

  14. In the event of a fire or other emergency, please exit the hotel through the nearest emergency exit and assemble in the designated area. The elevator may not be used during emergencies.

  15. Emergency exits should only be used in the event of an emergency.

4. Use Castle (garden), restaurant and meeting rooms.

  1. Access to and exit from the Kasteel Steenenburg parking lot is via license plate recognition.

  2. The use of a bicycle, trike, electric scooter, quad, segway, golf cart and the like is not permitted on the grounds of Kasteel Steenenburg.

  3. Without express permission from the management of Kasteel Steenenburg, the use of sound equipment on the grounds is not permitted.

  4. No dogs are allowed in the restaurant (due to the open kitchen). In the lounge bar and on the terraces, dogs are allowed up to knee height, if leashed and as long as they do not cause a nuisance. Dogs on the risk list are never allowed.

  5. The holder of the dog is liable for the dog's behavior and any damage caused by the dog. The dog must remain on the ground and is not allowed to sit on (seating) furniture.

  6. For placements in the restaurant, please report to the restaurant entrance. If you want to be assured of a place, we recommend making a restaurant reservation in advance.

  7. In the event of a fire or other emergency, exit the building through the nearest emergency exit and assemble in the designated area. The elevator may not be used during emergencies.

  8. Access to the meeting rooms (on the second floor) is prohibited without staff permission or instruction.

  9. Technical equipment (such as beamers, screens, meeting systems) present in the meeting rooms should be used with care. For damage to the meeting rooms or furniture, installations, etc. present therein, the main booker will be held liable.

5. Image and/or sound recordings.

  1. Kasteel Steenenburg may make (or have made) image and/or sound recordings of the grounds, buildings and of guests moving in or around the location. Kasteel Steenenburg, and its affiliated companies, are entitled to use and publish these recordings, for example for promotional purposes. Of course Kasteel Steenenburg and its affiliated companies will take due care in doing so. For use and publication of the recordings by Kasteel Steenenburg and its affiliated companies, no compensation is due to the guests depicted. If you do not want to be in the picture, please avoid the places where you see a filmmaker, film crew and/or photographer at work.

  2. Without explicit permission from the management of Kasteel Steenenburg it is not allowed to make sound, photo and/or film recordings or other visual material on or above (such as with a drone) the premises for commercial purposes or by commercial parties.
